The Velocity2 when set in RAID 0 mode, keeps an identical mirror copy of the primary backup drive. If your  primary backup drive encounters a hardware failure or data corruption, you have a second identical drive to use for disaster recovery. The Velocity2 solutions include CMS’s BounceBack Enterprise Server software, which makes the job of managing your backups simple and effective, you can set your backups to run automatically according to your own schedule and settings.

Velocity2 solutions are extremely fast, backing up to 2.6GB per-minute, and because the Velocity2 solutions are offered in high-capacity you can save all of your crucial business data, applications and system files. CMS offers Velocity2 solutions in several capacities ranging from 500GB to 2TB.

With four modes of operation, users can choose from Safe (RAID1), Fast, (RAID 0), Big (combination of both drives for increased capacity) or JBOD (just a bunch of disks, otherwise referred to as spanning) to make the Velocity2 solutions work for their particular need.

The hot-swappable drives in the Velocity2 can be easily replaced on the fly with blank drives. The RAID settings will ensure the new drive rebuilds as a mirror of the primary backup drive.
